My life in Taiwan is getting increasingly busier. Thankfully I went on my favorite Jesus Retreat to spend some uninterrupted time with God. I came away so refreshed. I soaked up His love for me as much as possible. For the first time, I wrote personal love letters from God. It was hard at first, but later became easier and a great tool for me to feel His unconditional love for me.
It occurred to me that I could write a letter from God everyday if I wanted to. In fact, I started doing it whenever I don't feel good about myself or what's happening in my life. I would just put on some soft praise music, pray, read some psalms or devotional, ask God what I needed to hear from Him and start writing. For someone who struggles with insecurities and low self-image, this is such a wonderful tool. I share these letters hoping that you can feel how precious you are to God.

Dear little squirrel:
You are a busy squirrel that runs around getting things done, you have been so busy all your life. You are a doer. But even though you are doing good and doing Our will, We wanted you to know that we love you beyond what you can imagine, completely unconditional. You have to do nothing to earn it. Don't forget that. We love you simply because you are you, and you belong to us. There is nothing you can do to add to that love or earn it, because you already have it to the full.
Sometimes, pause for a moment and stop what you are doing.... really, really listen to us. Can I remind you that you are loved, whether or not you are successful, efficient, productive or organized? Those were all extra burden you put on yourself. You are loved regardless of your performance and how others think of you. We loved you when you were deep in your sin, you can do nothing to lose that love, ever.
Come back to a state of love by remembering that love exists and that we exist. We were there with you at the moment of your birth, and we have never left you, and will carry you through life on earth and continue to eternity. May you remember this love at all times and may you respond in loving us and others.

My dear child,
You are starting a new season in your life, turning a new leaf. don't be afraid, I'll be with you and hold your hand through it. Don't worry, you will not fail. My presence is there to love you through it.
Relax, lower your expectations, take care of yourself mentally and physically. Give up on perfection. Much of your stress comes from wanting perfection. You are good enough. I love you regardless of what you do or don't do. You don't have to improve, do better, serve Me, achieve or perform for Me to love you. I just love because I delight in you, and you are mine. Fill your heart with My love each day and go forth in giving out my love. My love is like the ocean, it will not run out. Get as much as you need daily.
You are worried and concerned about many things, tell me about them and Leave those worries here, don't take them home. I plan to do good things with those. I got them in my big capable hands. Trust me.

My dearest child,
Today you felt frazzled because you have to face many things that needed your attention. Take a closer look at them, not all of them are yours to handle. Let those go. Give me your hand, don't forget that I'm here with you. Let's tackle those together. The storm isn't the only thing you see, I am on the boat too, and I have power over the storm. Face what you have to face from a viewpoint of love.
Stop for a moment and remember...remember all those loving moments when I come to you with assurance telling you to slow down, to rest, to trust. Telling you to let go and let me handle the unknown, to allow me to handle the hard things? Things will work out in their own timing, and even if it doesn't, you are still loved. Remember that.
Be that little child who is completely secure in his/her father's love. It won't be easy to rock her world because she has a powerful backup, her father. Do you know who will catch you when you fall? This world may have danger, but You have a loving safety net, Me. My loving hand is always outstretched toward you. I will never leave or abandon you. I'm more faithful and enduring than any man you know. Let Me fill that great void in your deepest part that no one can fill.

My little flower,
I love you and I want you to carry my fragrance. I want the whole world to smell your fragrance that is the fragrance from spending time with Me. Soak in My love daily and let that love change who you are and how you see yourself. Then like salt and light, you can start making a difference in the world.
No one can love you like I do. You matter to me, and I see you. No one can do more for you than I do. I paid a great price for you on that cross -- That's because You are worth it to me. I did that so you can be free to live and have eternal life. You don't need to pay Me back, OK? Go and enjoy life and live it abundantly.
Keep coming to me and draw bucket full of Love so you can give it to all those around you. Don't worry, I will never run dry! Love others with My love. The world is thirsty, but it kept going to the broken well, using other things to quench the thirst. No matter where you go, share My love there. I want you to pass it on. Let the world see your beauty and fragrance that radiates from Me, they will see and want what you have.
